Hire unemployed to fix roads, bridges

People right now are hurting for jobs, true? Let’s face it, our infrastructure and roads are failing or falling apart. Bridges are so bad you could look down a hole in the middle and see the bottom.
Why don’t we hire these out-of-work people to re-pave, repair and make our bridges and roads safe again! It would give hundreds of jobs to pavers, truck drivers, cement mixers and side helpers.
And if there are unions, what are they doing? There are potholes big enough a small child could fit in! If taxes are rising, where is the money going? At least we would know it was helping instead of more debt being thrown on the pile.
