Gun bans won't solve anything

Let's take gun bans off the table. Gun bans are a hoax. On Dec. 14, 2012, a madman got into a school and successfully attacked 23 children. That attack occurred in China and the attacker used a meat cleaver to chop up those kids. More kids than died at Sandy Hook that same day.
Gun bans as a means of social control are a hoax. A ruse. A politically attractive distraction from the issues we need to understand. Bans are proven to achieve no good effect. They keep us from spending our resources pursuing real solutions, not make-me-look-good laws proposed by legislators.
I ask the gun controllers, "How many rounds does a meat cleaver hold? How long does it take to reload a meat cleaver?" Where there is a will, there is a way and the criminally insane will find it. Timothy McVeigh didn't have any kind of conventional weapon, but look at the destruction. Should we ban fertilizer?
Every minute, every dollar spent discussing gun bans is a waste of resources that should be dedicated to real solutions. Gun bans are a hoax.

More were attacked in China but no one died. How many were only wounded in Newtown?
