Cut back on foreign aid to fund Newtown project, U.S. relief
In a recent letter, two Woodbridge residents expressed that they were "appalled" that taxpayer money was being considered to share in the cost of a new school in Newtown. I believe it is appalling that our government gives billions of dollars in foriegn aid carte blanche to many different countries, while millions of Americans are in financial straits. We should reallocate all of the non-humanitarian foreign aid that the taxpayers shell out each year to our own citizens who are hurting, such as those in Newtown, the Jersey Shore, and Moore, Oklahoma.
