I extend my heartfelt gratitude to both the New Haven and Hamden police departments for their fine services on Feb. 1.

New Haven officers skillfully escorted my dad’s funeral procession from Maresca and Sons in New Haven to St. Rita Church in Hamden.

After Mass, a Hamden police car accompanied the New Haven cars to guide our procession to All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. 

My family and I appreciate the generosity of both departments in affording us escorts for the funeral, and we had peace of mind knowing that our family and friends who joined us to honor our dad were safe on this journey. Sincere thanks to the officers and to the departments.
