Opinion seeping into New Haven Register articles

I have long held that the best place to get the news is through the printed media. Lately, I am having some serious doubts.
The latest comes from two stories on page B4 of Feb. 25’s New Haven Register.
In the article entitled “GOP governors take a pragmatic turn," the first three paragraphs belong on the editorial page, not a news article. Moving down the page a little, we find an article, “Afghanistan orders special forces out.” Looking at this, one would get the idea that the special forces had been ordered out of Afghanistan, but in reality, they have been ordered to leave a section of the country. This point is found if one reads the article.
I am a longtime subscriber to the “New Haven Register.” However, more and more, it appears as though you prefer presenting opinions over actual news.
I was less than happy with some of your endorsements in the last election, but at least you made them on the editorial page, where they belonged. You should make sure that stories and headlines reflect facts, not someone’s opinion in the case of stories, and the real truth in the case of headlines.
