Rhode Island politician escapes accountability on DWI charge
On April 22, 2011, Rhode Island House Minority Leader Robert Wilson was arrested in Connecticut while driving under the influence. Although he has to be ousted from his legislative position in Rhode Island, all charges against him in Connecticut have been dropped, simply because he was not given a breathalyzer test at the time of arrest! I feel this is a travesty of justice! In my opinion, he should have lost his driver’s license and been ordered to do community service. There is definitely something wrong with the judicial system!
