I've lived in New Haven my whole life and at 70 years old I'm being forced to move due to high taxes this state is so famous for.
Also, because my father wanted to raise his family in a beautiful neighborhood, he bought a house in the Morris Cove section of the city in 1951. Now in 2013, because of the proximity to the harbor and Long Island Sound, my homeowner's insurance is close to $5,000 a year.
By the way, we are very fortunate because we have never had an issue with water from the harbor or the sound. Very costly and very puzzling.
