Everyone keeps talking about gasoline reaching $4-plus per gallon. I have not heard anyone complain about heating oil that has reached $4 per gallon.
I just had my tank filled and the cost is $800-plus to fill what was missing.
These two items, gasoline and heating oil, are what hurts the retired people and the unemployed. Write or call your Congress people complaining about the cost of your living expenses raising constantly. Tell them to search for more fuel to bring costs down of these two items that hurt many.
On top of that, you read that politicians want to cut Social Security benefits of the retired. Wake up, Congress, you can afford these increases, we cannot. Those in Congress get their raises. We retired get a $10 or $20 increase, which does not help much.
Congress and the President play war, but the victims are us.
