Fond memories of delivering the Journal Courier
Please thank Randall Beach for the walk down memory lane.
I also delivered the Journal Courier in the '50s along with my two brothers. It wasn’t just for boys. Our mother helped us fold papers and put them in the big white bag.
We made sure the papers were put on porches, in mailboxes or wherever requested. If we do so when we “collected” each week our “tip” would be at least 25 cents.
My two brothers just retired from the Register. They were the longest part-time delivery men. What a great day!
