Lack of two-parent households contributes to 'urban apartheid'
I read with great interest the article on "urban apartheid" and especially the information contributed by Dr. James Comer. There is just so much to be done, and I hope there is a way to get started to correct the situation.
There is one point, however, that did not appear in the article that may have a bearing on at least some of the difficulties. The article fails to highlight the number of households that do not include both a father figure and a mother. I feel this is an area that has to be researched and included for all to see and determine if that contributes to any of the other areas of concern.
