Imagine my surprise when I checked the the Monday New Haven Register sports section of the paper and saw the "homage" to Griner and Sims of Baylor.  My first reaction was "what is this?"

Granted, they are both outstanding women's basketball players, but don't you think that their local papers are touting their talents? Is it necessary for Connecticut papers to glorify them rather than give our UConn women the recognition they deserve by having the photos be of them?  

At this writing I, like other UConn supporters, are anxious about the outcome of this game.  We wish them the best and will be on the edge of our seats cheering them on and will appreciate their efforts win or lose.  Their fans are loyal. How about The Register?
