New Haven Symphony Orchestra's March concert was delightful
How very blessed are we in the New Haven area to have the New Haven Symphony Orchestra.
The March concert included Smetana’s “Bartered Bride,” which was performed with fire and brio!
The event that made the evening so memorable, however, was the debut of the Woodbox Violin Concerto by DBR. The Fairhaven students in the audience must have been excited to hear classical music with such a contemporary feel.
I thought it was thrilling to hear Roumain’s wonderful performance surrounded by the lush and precise playing of the orchestra. Bravo, NHSO!
