On Sunday, May 19, the East Haven Senor Center hosted and “honored the veterans.” I would like to extend a special thank you to Marine Sergeant Branden Greb for coming to our senior center and helping with this event. He spent the entire day serving older veterans, helping with cleaning and talking to the older vets. This young marine is an exceptional young man and I thank him for his service and for helping to make this a very very special day.
I would also like to thank entertainers Karen Wagner and her husband Robert Iovanna for giving us a wonderful performance. They dedicated the entire show to the veterans, and besides being very entertaining, it was very moving, an exceptional young couple.
Also a special thank you to everyone who helped with the day, all the volunteers. Peter, Tami, Cathy, Sarah, Joe M. Joe W. and Joe M. Jr. You are what made this day a success for our veterans.
I am just sorry that having such a POSITIVE Event in East Haven that the New Haven Register, WTNH, FOX News, WFSB or the Shoreline Courier did not cover this event. They were all notified. It seems to me that when we do something so good and so positive, the news does not cover it.
