Thanks for printing that optimistic guest article by James Lilliefors (in New Haven Register, Tuesday, May 14). I suggest its concepts concerning modifying harsh weather be must reading not only for all worldwide science teachers, but also directors of research in the world’s science laboratories. Principles of Newtonian physics combined with laser technology can work, and it will provide countless jobs building and using whatever components are necessary to succeed.
